Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and how to get it removed. Plain English, no tricks. We only collect what we need to run the waitlist and the site.

Last updated: 8 June 2026

This is GertySystems' privacy policy. It explains what personal data we collect, why, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it. We've written it in plain English on purpose.

The short version: if you join the waitlist, we keep your email so we can tell you when membership opens and send the occasional related update. We don't sell it, we don't share it for anyone else's marketing, and you can get off the list — or have everything deleted — at any time.

Who we are

GertySystems is run by Liam Revill, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, trading as "GertySystems". For data-protection purposes, Liam is the data controller — the person responsible for your data.

If you have any question about this policy or your data, email privacy@gertysystems.com.

What we collect, and why

When you join the waitlist or request the free lessons:

  • Your email address — so we can contact you about membership and the free content. This is the only thing we actually require.
  • Your track preference (builder or business), if you choose one — so the updates we send are relevant to you.
  • Where you signed up from and when — basic context like which page the form was on and a timestamp, so we can keep the list tidy and avoid messaging you twice.

Automatically, when you use the site:

  • Your IP address and basic request information — used briefly to rate-limit forms and demos and to block spam and abuse. This is a security measure, not a tracking one.
  • Anonymous usage events — for example, that a demo was opened or the waitlist form was submitted. Where you're on the list, these may be linked to your record so we understand how people move through the site.

When you use the chat, voice, or tool demos:

  • The messages you type or speak in a demo are sent to our AI providers (see below) to generate a reply. Treat the demos like a public conversation — don't enter sensitive personal information (health details, financial details, passwords, etc.). We don't use demo conversations to build a marketing profile about you.

Lesson progress is saved only in your own browser (local storage on your device). It isn't sent to us and we can't see it.

What we do not do

  • We don't sell your data, ever.
  • We don't share your email for anyone else's marketing.
  • We don't run advertising trackers, Google Analytics, Facebook pixels, or similar third-party profiling on this site.
  • We don't take payment or card details on this site yet — there's no checkout. The only thing you can sign up for right now is the free waitlist and free lessons.

Cookies and similar storage

We keep this deliberately minimal. We use:

  • Functional cookies that remember your waitlist signup and your track preference (so we don't ask twice and so the right content shows). These last up to a year and you can clear them in your browser at any time.
  • Local storage on your device to remember your lesson progress, as above.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and there are no third-party tracking scripts on the site.

Our lawful bases (UK GDPR)

  • Consent — for sending you marketing and membership emails. You give this when you join the waitlist, and you can withdraw it at any time (see "Your rights").
  • Legitimate interests — for keeping the site secure, preventing spam and abuse, and running the demos you've chosen to use. We've balanced these against your privacy and kept the data involved to a minimum.

Who else processes your data

To run the site we rely on a small number of trusted providers ("processors") who handle data on our behalf:

  • Supabase — stores the waitlist database.
  • Resend — delivers our emails and manages the mailing list.
  • Vercel — hosts the website and keeps short-lived server logs.
  • OpenRouter — powers the AI text in the chat and voice demos.
  • ElevenLabs — powers the voice in the voice and phone demos.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards (such as UK-approved standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision).

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist email and related details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until they're no longer needed for the purpose you gave them. Security and abuse-prevention logs (like IP addresses) are kept only briefly. When data is no longer needed, we delete it.

Your rights

Under UK data-protection law you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct anything that's wrong;
  • ask us to delete your data ("right to erasure");
  • object to or restrict how we use it;
  • withdraw consent to marketing at any time;
  • request a copy of your data in a portable format.

To use any of these, email privacy@gertysystems.com and we'll sort it. Every marketing email we send also has a one-click unsubscribe link.

If you think we've handled your data badly, you can complain to the UK's regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)ico.org.uk — though we'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Children

This site is meant for adults. We don't aim it at children and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. If it's a significant change and we have your email, we'll tell you.

Warning

Real power. Educational use only.

What we teach you to build is genuinely powerful — uncensored assistants, agents, and automations on your own hardware. In the wrong hands, that is as dangerous as malicious code in the wrong hands. We do not teach illegal, malicious, or harmful use. You are responsible for what you deploy.
