GertySystems

Terms of service

The plain-English rules for using GertySystems — the free lessons, the demos, the waitlist, and the done-for-you service. What you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.

Last updated: 9 June 2026

These are the terms for using GertySystems — the website, the free lessons and workshop, the chat, voice and tool demos, the waitlist, and the done-for-you service. They're a deal between you and us: by using the site you're agreeing to them. We've written them in plain English on purpose, same as everything else here.

The short version: use the site for what it's for, don't abuse it or the demos, the lessons and content are ours but you're free to learn from and build with them, the AI demos are a taste — not professional advice — and we don't teach anything illegal. If something here doesn't work for you, don't use the site.

Who we are

GertySystems is run by Liam Revill, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, trading as "GertySystems". When these terms say "we", "us" or "our", that's GertySystems. When they say "you", that's you — the person using the site.

Questions about these terms: hello@gertysystems.com. Data and privacy questions go to privacy@gertysystems.com and are covered by our privacy policy.

What GertySystems is right now

We're honest about where this is. Today the site offers:

  • Free lessons and a workshop you can work through in your own browser.
  • Demos — chat, voice, and small tools — so you can see what custom AI actually does.
  • A waitlist for the paid membership, which isn't open yet. There's no checkout and we don't take payment or card details on this site.
  • A done-for-you service, where you can ask us to build something for you and get a rough idea of cost.

When paid membership opens, we'll add the specific terms that cover it (billing, renewals, refunds) and tell you before you pay for anything. Until then, nothing on this site charges you.

Using the site fairly

You're welcome here. In return, a few straightforward rules. Don't:

  • break the law, or use the site or demos to do anything illegal, harmful, or abusive;
  • try to jailbreak, overload, scrape, hammer, or reverse-engineer the demos, APIs, or infrastructure, or get round the limits we put on them;
  • pretend to be someone else, or sign up with someone else's email;
  • upload or send anything malicious, or anything you don't have the right to share;
  • copy our lessons or content and pass them off as your own, or resell them (more on that below).

We run rate limits and spam guards to keep things working for everyone. If you abuse the site, we can cut off your access — to the demos, the lessons, or the lot — without notice.

The demos are a taste, not a tool you can rely on

The chat, voice, and tool demos exist to show you what's possible. They're deliberately capped — a personality and capability demo, not Liam's full private system, and not a product you should depend on.

  • AI gets things wrong. Anything a demo tells you can be inaccurate, out of date, or just made up. Check anything that matters before you act on it.
  • It's not professional advice. Nothing from the demos (or the lessons) is legal, financial, medical, tax, or other professional advice. Get a qualified human for that.
  • Treat demos as public. Don't type or speak sensitive personal information into them — see the privacy policy for what happens to demo conversations.

We can change, cap, or pull any demo at any time.

The lessons, the content, and what you can do with them

The lessons, workshop, writing, code samples, brand, and the Gerty/Gertrude character are ours (or used with permission). We're not precious about you learning from them — that's the whole point — but the ownership stays with us.

You can: work through the lessons, follow the steps, and use what you learn to build your own projects — for yourself, your job, or your own business. Anything you build off the back of a lesson is yours.

You can't: copy, republish, resell, or repackage our lessons or content as your own course, product, or service; or strip our name off them and pass them on. If you want to share GertySystems with someone, send them a link — that's appreciated.

Knowledge, power, and the educational line

GertySystems is built on a clear belief: knowledge shouldn't be locked away because someone, somewhere, might misuse it. We teach you to build powerful AI you actually own and control.

That power is real, and we're honest about it: the same skills that build something useful can be misused. So the line is firm — we teach the legitimate path only. We do not teach, encourage, or support anything illegal, malicious, or harmful, and you agree not to use what you learn for any of that. What you build, and what you do with it, is your responsibility. It's the same point as the "real power — educational use only" warning shown across the site.

The done-for-you service

If you ask us to build something for you, here's how that works at this stage:

  • Any price, ballpark, or quote you get — including anything the AI quoting assistant gives you — is an estimate to start a conversation, not a fixed price or a binding offer. Nothing's agreed until we've both confirmed the work and the cost in writing.
  • The estimate is based on what you tell us. If the job turns out to be different, the cost can change — we'll talk to you first.
  • Submitting a request doesn't commit you to anything, and it doesn't commit us to taking the work on. We can say no.
  • Any actual build will have its own agreement covering scope, timing, payment, and what you get — separate from these terms.

No guarantees, and where our responsibility ends

We put real care into this site, but we have to be straight about the limits:

  • The site, lessons, and demos are provided "as is". We don't promise they'll be available without interruption, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.
  • We don't promise that following the lessons will get you a job, save your job, make you money, or produce any specific result. We give you the path and the proof — what you do with it is down to you.
  • As far as the law allows, we're not liable for losses that come from using (or not being able to use) the site, the lessons, or the demos — including anything you build, or any decision you make, based on them.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law says it can't be limited (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

If you're using the site as a consumer, you keep all the rights UK consumer law gives you — these terms don't take those away.

Links to other sites

We sometimes link out to other people's sites and tools. We don't control them and we're not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Once you leave GertySystems, you're on their terms, not ours.

Changes to these terms

As the site grows — especially when paid membership opens — we'll update these terms. We'll change the "last updated" date at the top, and if it's a significant change we'll do our best to flag it. Carrying on using the site after a change means you're OK with the new version.

The legal bits

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If a court finds one part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still stand.

Warning

Real power. Educational use only.

What we teach you to build is genuinely powerful — uncensored assistants, agents, and automations on your own hardware. In the wrong hands, that is as dangerous as malicious code in the wrong hands. We do not teach illegal, malicious, or harmful use. You are responsible for what you deploy.
