I sat at level 2 for months — paying rent to ChatGPT and its mates, living by their rules and their morality filters and their price hikes, quietly feeding them everything I typed. Level 3 is where this site takes you: your brain on your machine, not theirs. You might still dip into cloud models now and then — I'm not going to pretend otherwise — but you own the stack and the assistant.
Level 1 — User. You've tried AI (that was Lesson 1). You know it isn't magic. Maybe you open a free chat app now and then.
Level 2 — Renter. You pay £16–20/month — often more — for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot and the rest. Real capability, no question. But their rules, their servers, their price changes.
Level 3 — Owner-builder. You run models you control, wire in your own docs and tools, and ship real projects — starting with Jarvis (your v1 assistant), then Gerty, then whatever we build next together. You may still pay small API bills when you reach for cloud — that's normal and honest — but you're no longer locked inside a generic box forever.
Here's the whole journey on one line each:
Module 0 · What AI is → understand it + the stakes (you're here, finishing)
Module 1 · The 2026 landscape → product map + compare the rented tools, hands-on
Off the Grid → Ollama on your PC — your own local assistant (free)
Build Your Jarvis · Module 0+ → membership — Jarvis, Gerty, monthly builds, community
Continue — what the free path actually gives you.
