Optional — two-step ask

Optional, but I'd do it — a quick follow-up exercise in a single chat thread. To be straight with you: this is not a real agent demo. Gertrude on the public site doesn't click buttons or use tools — you'll build proper agents in membership. The point here is smaller and worth feeling for yourself: watch how a second message builds on the first.

Try it on Gertrude

Open Talk to Gertrude.

Message 1: "I'm learning what agentic AI means. In three bullet points, what can an AI assistant do beyond a single reply — keep it plain English."

Read the answer.

Message 2 (same chat, straight after): "Now give me one everyday example for a small business owner who isn't technical."

Notice what just happened: thread memory. She remembered what you'd asked before, so the second answer built on the first without you re-explaining. Public Gertrude is capped and scoped on purpose — but even capped, she shows you the shape of how a modern assistant holds a thought.

No Gertrude handy?

Use any chat app with search or tools switched on (if your tier allows) and send the same two messages. Then compare it to your very first try back in Lesson 1 — you'll feel how much the follow-up changes things.

Continue — the recap diagram.

Warning

Real power. Educational use only.

What we teach you to build is genuinely powerful — uncensored assistants, agents, and automations on your own hardware. In the wrong hands, that is as dangerous as malicious code in the wrong hands. We do not teach illegal, malicious, or harmful use. You are responsible for what you deploy.
