A Jarvis — our shorthand — is your own always-on AI helper:
- Talks the way you want
- Can use your documents and tools (when you wire them up)
- Works for you, not a big tech company's product roadmap
Optional nod: In the films, Tony Stark had Jarvis. Liam built Gertrude on his machines. You're building yours.
What Jarvis is not

For years I didn't even call mine Jarvis — I just called it "my setup." The word only really earns its keep when you're explaining to family why you're not paying OpenAI forever. Plain English first; the film reference second.
